Magic of Ferns
Something sooths and calms as we wander through the cool, lush ferns in the shade of the forest.  This ancient relic of botanical evolution is preserved on this bark cloth wall hanging.

Before the Leaves Fall
Between the sunny days of summer and the first white blanket of snow, autumn spreads its golden light through the forest.  This wall hanging captures a few leaves before they fall to the earth.

Ferns in September
In September, the forest floor is covered with thousands of ferns that grow in the fertile, spongy blanket of decaying leaves.  Here, in these wall hangings, are a few fine specimens.

A Walk Through Genaganslet Woods
No matter the season, the Genaganslet forest offers up a palette of delights.  In August, we trek through the brambles to pick gallons of succulent blackberries.  Along the way we find ferns, black-eyed Susans, Queen Anne’s lace, and pause when we see just a tinge of red in the maple leaves.  Autumn peaks from around the corner.

Hibiscus in Hawaii
For many years I lived in Hawaii.  Not one gorgeous day could be taken for granted.  This wall hanging showcases Hawaii’s state flower, the yellow hibiscus.

Wheat Grass on Oil Paper
It is so easy to walk past long grass, perhaps commenting, “Oh my, we’ve got to mow the lawn.”  One day, I paused to admire the wheat grass in this wall hanging, so elegant and delicate.  Here, I’ve combined it with oil paper and other handmade papers from Thailand.

Diagonal Cosmos!
Cosmos are such a delight standing tall and graceful in the garden.  Here, they take a sudden diagonal turn!

Ferns on Banana Plank
This wall hanging features ferns and a handful of brown leaves I found one day while walking through the woods.  The pressed plants are set against a backdrop of layers of banana plank and handmade papers.

Never, Never Give Up!
It was a rough winter—too long, too cold, too dark.  I looked forward to the helleborus as a hopeful sign of eventual spring.  Amidst the snow, they spoke up!

Fern on Sunburst
The first circular piece I’ve made, this wall hanging brightly celebrates two of nature’s glorious elements—the sun and fern.  Commonly called a Sensitive Fern (Onoclea Sensibilis), this lovely specimen can bear no part of a frost, shriveling up at the first notion of such cold.

Friendship Remembered
Inspired by a special friend from Hawaii, this wall hanging celebrates the islands’ aloha spirit and tropical colors, even though the flowers were grown in the glorious summer season in upstate New York.

Celebrating Cosmos
Cosmos dance around this foldable wall hanging made from banana tissue and hand marbled paper.

Colorful Cosmos in Glass
Standing five feet tall, cosmos blessed our summer garden.  These specimens were cut and pressed fresh on several layers of handmade paper.  They are simply mounted behind frameless glass.

Cosmos!
I grew a veritable forest of cosmos, tall and gorgeous purple and violet graciously towering over the rest of the garden.  Here are a few, pressed against handmade papers, for you to enjoy year round.  The dominant background of red batik paper is handmade in India from cotton.
